EAT/ART space is honored to host community voices to speak about the Tennessee Triennial's theme of RE-PAIR as it relates to healing.

Meet the panelists—

Jason Flack (top left) is an artist and speaker with electric energy. “The origin of my art pursuit all started because of a series of losses: death, being homeless and a close friend sentenced to prison. I call it my “Restart”. So, the RE-PAIR theme I relate to on a personal level. One of the most rewarding aspects of life is the path to redemption – using fear, grief, doubt as fuel. Repairing exactly describes where I am and what I am doing today.”

Rebekah Freedom (top right) graduated from Naropa University in 2011 with her Masters in Counseling Psychology and founded her private practice in 2012. In 2018, her first book BREAKUP REHAB was published by New World Library. She brings 20 years experience and a wealth of knowledge in holistic medicine, mind-body psychology, and foundational success strategies to her coaching relationships.

Aaron Free (bottom left) is the founder of Appalachian Integrative Therapy Services, and specializes in Present Moment Awareness — a type of mindfulness that assists in noticing the fullness of the present.

Joshua Blackburn (bottom right), is a psychotherapist by profession. He husbands, fathers, and neighbors in Bristol, Tennessee. Life “in sickness and in health”, individually and collectively, are core human experiences he attends to professionally and in an hydra-like passion for learning which has led to an impossible reading list and encounters with colleagues from across the globe. While frequently captivated by words, stories, and ideas, he finds he humans better when expanding his sensibilities by feeling, watching, and listening.

Live artist talk & panel discussion runtime 1hr 12min.
