ARTIST STATEMENT
My art is an attempt for me to explain how I see the world and how I want the world to be. My style and color choices are a direct contradiction of the sadness I felt inside after personal losses in my life. I like to express energy and happiness by working with bright colors, while tackling deeper topics, social commentary and difficult imagery. I draw inspiration from the work of other artists, including R. Crumb, Peter Saul, and extensively, the late Keith Haring. My style is also heavily influenced by cartoons and comic books I consumed when I was a child.
